Well, surprise, surprise. Those eligible for participation in programmes (i.e. those admitting guilt) reoffend more than those ineligible for programmes (possibly because they were alwaya innocent and aren't sex offenders in the first place?)

No doubt the authorities will fail to draw the obvious conclusion....

Authorities aren't interested. Offence related programmes are about money with bums on seats.

Few such courses work unless the participants really want them to. Real sex offenders usually like the way they are and don't understand that their behaviour is wrong.
