Political gains through getting "supposed" sexual offenders to admit their crimes or privileges taken away?
So not only are falsely accused stuck in prison but also falsely accused are pressure to admit something that they didn't do to make the time in prison slightly more bearable?

It didn't happen to my OH- he still maintains his innocence and as yet has not been penalised. May be this is one plus factor about Scot's law.
I have wondered ho whether there are human rights issues with many aspects of being falsely accused
