Five hours in a cell. My intimate parts swabbed in front of a male officer.

Yet in my interview the detective closed with 'The girl said it was consensual' I said there you go exactly what ive just said.

How could they even arrest me ?

Thats not what happened consensual to the end. It was pre arranged meeting, with texts to arrange meeting up to have sex.

Maybe I could have worded it better.

Maybe the complainant told the officer that she initially consented, and once the sex was underway, she changed her mind.

Agreeing to have sex with another person, in writing, texts, emails etc, does not preclude her changing her mind later on, for whatever reason.

Easy said I know, but it may not even go any further.
When someone claims to have been raped, police are duty bound to investigate.
This often involves arresting someone.
Make sure you have copies of any messages exchanged in case you need them later on for a defense.
Stay calm.

Reported to cop shop as requested. officer at the counter said nfa. Had to ask what that meant. No further action she said.

Asked about my property and she said likely a letter will go out and i will have 28days to collect or be detroyed.
