Hello, I am doing some research of the Independent on Sunday for an article about women who have gone through the trial/legal system only to find that their attacker wasn't convicted.
This is similar to the Panorama documentary that was shown last Summer called Rape on Trial.
If there is anyone out there who is willing to talk to us about their experiences to do with the police and the whole legal system concerning convictions, (or lack of them), I would be most appreciative of your account.
Mainly we are looking for someone whose case went to a jury trial and ended up either collapsing, or with the rapist being either acquitted or sentenced for a lesser offence - problem is, we have about 24 hours to find a person who will fit the bill.
