Cautions, the lowest form of criminal sanction, are given when an offender admits a crime but no punishment is imposed.
The figures, which add weight to The Sun's campaign against soft justice, were uncovered by Tory MP Philip Davies.
He said: "Nobody should be getting a caution for these serious offences, it is unacceptable."
He said they "fly in the face" of Justice Secretary Ken Clarke's assertion that too many people were going to prison.
Mr Davies added: "Most people would say there are not enough."
So they have got it rse about face then. The guilty plead guilty & get a slapped wrist & the innocent plead guilty & get time in the big house?
