Nearly coming to a close.

Well nearly 2 years ago I joined this forum as I was the recipient of a false allegation of rape. I lost my home and every item that I have ever owned but on Monday this week my X partner was found guilty of making a false allegation along with theft and fraud.

In my case I was left in a situation where I could not sit back and wait for the police to investigate I had to do a lot of work around this for myself and enlist the assistance of my local MP. The outcome 2 years later is she is now looking at a prison sentance for what she did.

All I can say to any of you going through the same thing is approach your MP so that the police have to investigate it fairly and then pull as much proof together as possible and present it in one go and copy it to your MP.

I think you were lucky beyond incredible that her friend grew a conscience and went back to the police to tell them of her fears.
Most would have just kept schtum, as I've found.

Glad that justice has prevailed. I think we just found the one officer within Surrey Police for whom justice is more important than a rape conviction on their clearup/promotion agenda. 99.9999% of the time they'd have handed her the brush to help sweep you under the carpet with, and turned their backs while she did it.

I am so pleased to hear this news, Hedgecroft. I was wondering about the case just today, so thank you for the update. I hope that giving evidence wasn't to horrendous and that you can now look to a brighter future. Compensation for your lost/destroyed belongings? I hope so.

What a horrific story, I know you had already posted all the details on this forum but to see it in the form of a newspaper report emphasizes the perfidy of the woman.

I am so pleased that this has resulted in the correct and proper outcome.

You now have to try to rebuild your life and this will not be easy. Hopefully you have a lot of genuine friends and family around you to help you with this.

I also hope you get to move back into your own home very soon, if you are not already there. Wisley is a beautiful part of the country. I've been to the RHS Gardens there a few times.
