I wonder exactly how my Compo Cheat got away with this, as there was no mention of feeling threatened, or danger or anything similar. She claimed she said no and my clone stopped, apparently. (!)

It's a minefield. Far safer not to have sexual relations with anyone.

i know that your accuser was lying so this is not about your case at all but even if a victim was not actually raped but was in a situation where it seemed like it was leading that way they would feel immense fear. i think back to when i was about 15 and a shop keeper was touching me (only over clothes) and making inappropriate comments etc even though i got out before anything really bad happened i was terrified and felt like i was going to physically be sick. even if there was no fear of rape being touched in a way you are not comfortable with (especially if you are a child and it is by an adult) is horrific.

Feeling fear to the point of causing psychiatric distress is one proviso for extra compo via the CICA.

However "feeling fear" is not a necessarily a compulsory part of any claim, although it helps to increase the payout. In the case of liars this is obviously a double whammy for the tax-payer.

Thanks Friday, yes I can see what you mean and I can see how a genuine survivor would endure those thoughts and emotions.
Again this is all guesswork for me in my own case, as we're dealing with an imaginary event - place, date, time and circumstances and many other details not established - so I can only go by what was alleged in her Wishlist (statements) and none of what you described came over at all. Not at the time, not in the statements later, which is why I said I wonder how she got away with the CICA claim if fear etc is a prerequisite.

It's not a pre-requisite. I have the shopping list (from the CICA site) if you';d like me to email it to you LS!

Prerequisite was probably too strong a word. I meant something like condition, or requirement, or tickbox etc. Thanks for the shopping list offer, yes please!

Thanks RF. Interesting reading. There should be one for Liars (at about a tenth of the values) and one for genuine survivors (much more than this).
