  • a little information please

    Hi All,

Not sure this is the right place to post this and don't want to disturb anyone.

Reading some of the other threads it would appear to me that my concern is somewhat trivial compared to some of the other stories I have read so far and wish to say that my thoughts and prayers are with the families and the individuals going through this harrowing experience.

In January a friend and I were jointly accused of the most heinous of crimes, I cannot even bring myself to type the word, it disgusts me so. He was arrested, whilst I was treated as a Voluntary attendee and interviewed under caution( a police tactic? to seperate us?).

However, after two long months and many reassurances from legal professionals that the case/allegation was so flawed it could'nt possibly go anywhere, we got the NFA result from the Police/CPS.

My question is this: as a professional individual, I cannot even begin to punish myself enough for lack of judgement and discretion in being in this situation, but on a more practical level, could you please advise me what my status now is? with regards to CRB (basic) level checks , which are done through Disclosure Sctoland(not sure if CRB and Disclosure Scotland are the same agency?) and how long the interview and what admissions/what was said will remain on file, invariably finding their way to the public domain?

    Thank you in advance

ps Freedom fighter, Saffron and all, you guys are a shiny beacon in the darkness, of misinformation, paranoia, panic and fear...keep up the good work! x

I suggest that you ask the questions on this forum

as there are some legal professionals on there who can answer the question accurately.

Thanks Concerned Professional. Always nice to be appreciated....shame such terrible circumstances led you to us.
Very glad to hear your case was NFAd. Perhaps when you feel up to it you can share your story? It could help our members who are going through similar nightmares. However, I do completely understand if you want to just put this whole episode behind you.
Wishing you all the best for the future.
        Saffron.
