Your husband must not tell the police about him being only ten when he was allegedly 16 at the time of the alleged assaults. They will simply go to the accuser and tell her - she will then provide a new statement changing her story citing "trauma" as a reason for the change.
Please PM me if you would like some further advice and assistance (not to mention support).
Do not post anything more on this forum as it is not "private" - no doubt the police sometimes pay visits here.People Appealing Convictions of Sexual Offences ~http://www.pacso.co.uk

That doesn't mean that they will believe him or indeed, that they will drop the case.
I really do not wish to worry you but the police and CPS are under great pressure to reach Government rape conviction targets.
Many stop at nothing to reach those targets.
I think you are already aware of this otherwise you would not be in the state you say you are already in.People Appealing Convictions of Sexual Offences ~http://www.pacso.co.uk

It is not a good or a bad sign but it is something that happens time and time again. You have to go with the flow until charge or it being NFA'd.People Appealing Convictions of Sexual Offences ~http://www.pacso.co.uk

Hi there
He could be on bail for months whilst the Police await CPS feedback and final decision on charges if there are to be any. As for the Police investigation I wouldnt probably worry about that, many dont know how to investigate.
I wouldnt worry about being charged either, I was told it would be automatic as my accuser was under 18 albeit not below 16 - makes no difference and that it wasnt for the Police or CPS to decide who was telling the truth it would be upto the Jury. This included the Police/CPS being completely incapable of cross referencing the statements or investigating my version.
By the time it got to court all their inconsistancies and lies had been removed from their original statements making the whole trial one big sham and cover up and my Barrister ignored every single inconsistancy as if there werent any. This wasnt like just small things BUT critical facts none I had authorised and even my own statement was reduced to a meaningless piece of toilet roll.
Its not fun I know but stick in there and both keep your chin up, talk to RF and for god sake get yourself a damn good Solicitor and Barrister and do not take any chances WHATSOEVER !
