how do my rights as a father stand now?

I was accused of rape 3 years ago but the charges were quickly dropped. my partner at the time was told by social services that if i was to try to go to the courts for normal access to my daughter they would block me. But i was not told a single thing, nothing at all... i simply took her word for it. We agreed i'd see my daughter with her twice a week and at the time it was ok. But it's alot harder now, and i want proper access to her. I've read that you need to be notified when right's have been removed etc. Does anyone know how my rights stand at the moment?

I'm going to see a lawyer shortly i just want to gather as much information as possible.

If i knew this website existed i would have been here a long time ago! Thank you for any help you can give me.
