hi.. my partner has been accused by his sister of raping her a long time ago.. she says she can't remember the exact date, year, has given a time span between 2 years! she has been in mental hospitals and i've heard she's accused someone of the same crime before. we've had trouble in the family recently where we've fallen out, up until this falling out his sister and him were always close. i believe he's innocent. we have 2 young children so we are both feeling very scared.
he was asked to attend the police station, he didn't know why, he was arrested, questioned then let out on bail, he was due to go back to the police station on 7th January but we had a phonecall the day before saying it had been adjourned, police could not proceed at this time.
what i want to know is what is the process.. how many times can it be adjourned? there isn't actually any evidence and i know he didn't do it. can he still be chaged with no evidence? this is all so scary at the moment.. all our lifes including our childrens could be ruined. any advice would be appriciated.. thankyou. D x
