Hi all...

What a god send this site must be to those going through this ****.. I am absolutely gob smacked at the amount of men wrongly accused of rape.. Do these women and girls not understand what the damage they cause - not just to the accused, but the ripple effect on family and friends.. The fact that the accused has to be careful who to tell, cos many people still hold to the premise that there is no smoke without fire..

Our story started 18 months ago.. Several hours spent at the Police station, no comments interviews, written statement. Several days off work to attend Courts and Solicitors.. No evidence, even her friends didnt beleive her...

Just come back from Court this morning.. No evidence = Not Guilty... Im happy but she has still not admitted it.. So that bit p!sses me right off..

Anyway, all you people going through this.. please keep strong.. If you have no one to talk to about this, speak to these good people on site.. Dont drive your self mad and dont blttoe up your emotions..

I wish you all good luck during your hard times, we can now breathe easier... Hope you can too very very soon..

And lets hope for a change in the law somehow... I will be signing the petition for lie detectors to be used.. Might have saved us 18 months of sh!t..

A member of the group I run - her son was falsely accused and the matter was NFA'd so did not go to trial. The police are in process of prosecuting the liar.

If the liar in your case is old enough to stand trial it might be a good idea to right to the local CPS and ask them whether they are prepared to prosecute her. It might put her off trying to do this again.

but in order to prosecute they would need to be able to prove "beyond reasonable doubt" that she was lying.

yes a small number of women do make false allegations but not guilty does not mean the person didnt do it (or did) only that it wasnt possible to prove beyond reasonable doubt.

the problem with prosecuting women who have lied (or men claim have lied) is that people will not go to the police. i know i wouldnt have if i thought i'd be called a liar and be prosecuted.

their must be the same standards for prosecuting people accused of rape and people accused of claiming they were raped: beyond reasonable doubt.

but isnt it funny the cps wont pay for another trial when he lied on oath? he basically made a mockery of the whole thing, but they do not give a ****. it wasnt them getting raped. they dont really care about justice.

well, that's one thing we agree on, Friday - the CPS and the police *don't* generally care about justice: they care about meeting their targets.

I have seen the BORIS reports from my little pantomime. So in the week it took the police to get off thier bottoms stop surfing the net and drinking tea and getting around to arrest me - the thing who made up the allegation against me - tried to retract it saying that she just did it to get at me - but then she was told that a marker would be put again'st her name for any future liest she told - and in my opinion she was bullied into changing her mind again.
Also the carer for her at time made a statement saying she did not believe her either as she suffers from an attention seeking disorder.
This makes me belive even more that
A Did it really take 4 police officers at 7am to kick my door down cuff me and drag me to the station?? (Just cuz it was march and they needed the O/T to pay off last Xmas credit card bill - I expect) for all they have done is alienate me to the police
B Along with all the evidence i,e tangible proof she lied over teeth bites/CCTV from a shop "she never went into". Also something I only found out from the BORIS report is that they raided another house on the morning of my arrrest of a guy I have never heard of/met etc etc who she accused of me and him recording her having sex. Surprise surprise nothing was found at his house either. Is that they did NOT prosecute her for wasting police time.
So all in all - I am still exremely bitter and firmly belive the police did a very sloppy job. -
