    Help needed from others falsely accused

    Hi,
    Cant say too much as case is currently with Police.
    Got arrested for suspicion of rape on Monday after being asked to go to Police station.
    Interviewed for 2hrs or so and let go on bail until mid Jan.
    This follows consensual sex with a girl in August who replied to an ad I put on an adult web site.
    Police DC was very professional and fair and told me if what I said about the incident was true I dont have much to worry about.
    Needless to say what I said was true (I have no reason to lie).
    But as many reading this will know I am S**ting myself and can only think the worst.
    Anyone know how long it all takes, IE do I have to wait to mid Jan or later.

    Any help appreciated.

    You will most probably need to wait until your bail date in Jan. The wheels of the justice system turn very slowly. Good luck.

      Don'tbelieve anything the police say - they are not your friends, they are looking for a conviction.

      Have you got a decent solicitor? An ordinary run of the mill one is not good enough, you need one that specialises in allegations of this nature.
      And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the world. Then made the world round .... and laughed and laughed and laughed ..

        I echo RFLH and also I suggest you keep a copy of the accuser's answer to your advert on the website you mention. You can copy and paste these into Word docs, in case the relevant page is removed - and don't forget to put the link on the doc.

          It drangs on further

          Ok, 8 or 9 weeks after my first encounter with the police on this issue and I report back to answer bail. To be immeditly bailed again to return in another 6 weeks. Why, whats going on?
          Anyone got any idea? I would have thaught that by now they would have seen sence and droped the case or if they thought it was going somewhere charged me.

            its finally over.

            contacted police today to find out whats going on to be told my bail is cancelled i dont need to report to them again and there is to be no further action against me. The case is not closed as they are investigating the way it was reported to them. Maybe the person who made the false report is going to pay for wasting everyones time?
