Duh! I got caught out like that. Thought something interesting had gone on which I'd missed, and it was someone adding a new vote to the poll above it.
                Never mind, Witsend, easy mistake.

Yes I was caught out as well (but luckily didn't post anything so no-one will ever know)

However, to newer members like myself, it is a reality check to realise that these situations and upsets to folks lives have been going on since time immemorial (or at least since the SOA 2003 came into effect)

I have been and still am dealing with cases where people were convicted in 1998. They are the tip of the iceberg. I think that since "compensation" was brought in convictions for sex offences (and alleged sex offences) have increased significantly.

Clearly there is a link but unfortunately the law and decision makers do not seem to see it - and it's costing this country billions in the process.

I work as a health and safety manager and i have found that the No win, no fee change has increased the amount of compensation claims no end. It is down to god investigation to defeat the claims, unfortunately the police seem to work on the idea that they are only required to get evidence that supports the accuser, not their job to investigate, just gather evidence. I do wonder how many innocent people are in jail ?

I encountered a healthy percentage. Don't get me wrong, I've met a lot of the clearly guilty (because they did it once, got out of prison and did the same again) but met quite a few protesting their innocence.
They're usually the ones who will turn down all compromises.
