    Moving

I dont want to move but I will feel I have to if it got to court. I know alot of people in this place and news travel fast and tends to be like chinese whispers.

I will keep a diary, see if that helps.

Ouch! RFLH...did you really have to move that many times...that really sucks!

Myself, family & mum's fantastic tenants, have just brazened it out...but it has cost. We will NOT be driven from our traditional family home of over thirty years by the misconduct, abuse & intimidation of local homophobic police, ...my mother intends to die here, and mum, bless her, is nowhere near ready to go yet, lol.

Admitedly, we (myself & her tenants) have taken to answering the door with a cricket bat in hand, following an incident last year,... just in case. Sadly the police did not want to know when it was reported, police actually REFUSED to interview gay eye-witnesses to the incident...so now when we get an unexpected call at the door...we are tooled up, just in case.

Chris:-I know what the gay scene is like, some of the most viscious untruths have been circulated amongst gay people, fueled by the less than scrupulous police & less than accurate media reporting!

RFLH is right (again) in "do what feels right for you"...even here on this site it is very clear many of us have had very different stratergies for dealing & coping with the fall out of false allegation...and a less than acceptable policing, judicial system and process.

        Base Ball Bat

I dont know if taking a Base Ball Bat to the door is a good idea!! Dont answer the door unless you know who is coming!!! But i get your point!

Its not the gay scene Im worried about, although I live in a very open minded city, I very rarely go out on the scene and most of my friends are straight females and they always say they will never find a husband in a gay bar!

As I have said before the Police have always been professional with me, my only gripe with them is the length its taking but I put that down to lack of resources etc etc.

Ah! ...but we live in the middle of the countryside.

In the past friends used to drop in unanounced all the time, the rural idl, hell we did'nt even bother to lock doors, being in the county, folk just used to walk in ...but that has all changed. If a car pulls up & stops on the road outside at night,... well we are prepared!

in a way, back to an early comment made 'prepare for war...hope for peace'

Its pitch black at night and there is nothing between us and the next village a mile away apart from grass, fields, & cows.

Police misconduct & false allegation does change things.

Chris, you need to expect to wait quite a while. It's not necessarily lack of resources that hold these "investigations" up.

Sometimes if the police are determined to get a "nick" they will update the "victim" with something you might have given to them to prove your innocence (or at least to indicate it) giving them a chance to change their story.

The excuses for these inconsistencies at trial is usually "I was so traumatised", "I was confused......"

Don't hand over anything that is an original to plod. They might "lose" it or worse still, as they did in my friend Rob's case, deny they ever had it.

I would suggest you don't put too much info about your case on this particular site as people don't have to be registered to have a nosy - could be police on here as we type.

aahh, what a gem your Boyf is! bet you feel tons better for having pleasant surroundings. so ignore my message on pafaa.

going back to what UD said - when R and I were waiting for the CPS to make a decision, he got death threats and intimidating calls from his accuser's boyf. as a result we got totally paranoid about people coming to our house. i even managed to scare the wossname out of an elderly neighbour who was putting a birthday card for our son through the letterbox late one evening. (all i saw was her fingers poking through the letterbox and panicked and started screaming!). when R went to prison, our garage was broken into and trashed. the police came, but said they couldn't do anything. i slept with a kitchen knife in my bedside table, and my son tucked up next to me, just in case.

but now it is friday and the sun is shining. R is at work, our boy is at school and the littlest one is busily sucking her thumb on the sofa. Life is good. strange how things change, and I hope they change for the better for you, Chris.

Saff;- I am SO pleased for you Saff, & yer hubby R + little ones!

I look forward to that day myself when there will be calm serenity, not likely to happen in the near future tho...so I'll continue to fight the good fight, it gives me focus.

Chris;- Shame on you! Getting the bf to do the housework, tut.

To echo what RF said, the police can be charming & polite, be not fooled by this, you are the accused. Police are not impartial.

Err, with all those 'shoes' you never lived in the Phillipines did you, Emelda?

                            Cleaning

Oh poor dear Emelda! So many shoes and not enough days to wear them.

Ive kept up on the house work so when the boyf gets back from work tonight he will be pleased! He has been away since friday working, so will be nice to have him back. I had friends stay all weekend, so i wasnt alone.

Feeling a bit better than i did earlier today.
