  • Falsly Accused recently not legal (yet?) What to do?

    Hey fellas.
I'm not from the UK from the US but I'm not asking legal advice so I hope you can still help. A girl is now saying I raped her after we had verbal consentual sex. She even instigated the sex. She has been telling people and mentioning the possibility of going legal. It has been 4 days. What would you do if you were me?

I have don't the following. Avoided speaking or getting near her. Speaking with my friends and one of her mutual friends. Told them my side and my truth and nothing else. Freaked out a bit (lot.) Right now I'm just keeping my life together doing my routine, school and work.

    Any advice will help.
    Thank you all,
The (can't believe this username wasn't taken.)

    Welcome The,

If you are asking whether you should go to the police yourself then the answer is no. You could find yourself unnecessarily under investigation for rape. You don't know if her threat to "go legal" is genuine or not.

You are doing the right thing avoiding her. Make sure you keep all your messages, photos etc just in case.

Sounds like you are doing the right thing keeping up with your routine. Hopefully this will blow over soon enough.

    Please keep us updated.
