There's an article in the daily mail today about how the police did not hand information that would have saved a young innocent man being dragged through the courts and on bail for two years, yes being named and the horrendous nightmare of a long prison sentence looming over him.
Thank goodness that his case was taken over and they demanded police hand over all the information that they had kept to themselves saying there was nothing of interest to the case, information that would have saved this young man and his family all the heartache, and worry.

It appears that the CPS & the police are each trying to put the blame on the other but the real culprit is of course the FA who will walk away unscathed by the publicity. Pity the judge didn't also call for her to be prosecuted for PCJ

      What about charging the FA?

The police and CPS appear to have attempted to pervert the course of justice. whoever didn't reveal the 40,000 text messages to the defence should be charged. Also as the texts show the FA sought and even enjoyed consensual sex with the innocent guy, does this not indicate that she is guilty of making false statements to the police?

I wish that the police officers in these cases were named. It might help the people involved in their other cases know what they're dealing with.

Good to see that this made the national news although the media seemed more interested in the failings of the police rather than the fact that a false accusation was made.

A spin-off article from this case & interesting to note the positive comments.

This article is 100% right. I personally feel that Alison Saunders is guilty of encouraging malicious prosecution and therefore she should loose her job.
