  • Falsley accused

    Hello,
I was falsly accused of rape in November, I have never posted in this forum before but I have read posts when I was struggling during the first couple of months with anxiety and feeling low with dark thoughts and found it a tremendous help, I'm so glad I stumbled across it.
    *
I was talking to a girl from a dating app and after a night out with friends I was invited back to her student housing with her friends and my friends although I had never met her before.

We were already all drunk but we drank, and I found myself in her room where she performed consensual oral sex. I was arrested a couple of weeks later.

I gave a full statement and afterwards the police said they will have to tell my employer as I have a high profile job and they told me to tell them I was innocent.

After 3 rebails I found out today I will be getting charged tomorrow, I'm completely shocked, I feel numb. The policeman dealing with my case will pick me up tomorrow to charge me at the station.

My family and friends have been a huge support and nobody can believe it's got this far.

I'm scared, but after so long I'm ready to fight in court and I pray justice will prevail. I still don't understand why she is doing this.

I've seen how much you all support people going through similar situations on this forum, and I promised myself I would post at some point as you all helped me through the past 6 months.

My thoughts are with anybody going through this and I understand the struggle to lead a normal life each day.

    Wowzers Jon.

Your story is shocking.I am happy to go along with the notion that we used to live in a world where a minority of men got away with sexual misconduct because women were not believed enough. To answer that with automatically believing every accusation is plain retarded and has very dangerous consequences. You have my sympathy.

A charge does not mean a conviction and there is every hope that you can defeat this by simply telling the truth.

The most important thing is to have a good legal team behind you that will leave no stone unturned in exposing the lies in your case. Recommended legal advice can be found on the forum.

Having any kind of sex seems to be risky these days, particularly among the young and those at university being "educated" that sexual violence is commonplace. The idea that we live in a "rape culture" is retarded but nevertheless is an article of faith for a minority. To be a victim of that minority, or a batty woman, you can consider yourself unfortunate, but all is not lost. She has to convince a courtroom and a jury that haven't been skewed with sexual violence awareness courses. Hang on in there.

      Hello Jon

Really sorry about your situation, stay calm stay focused and as Peter says get a really good legal team set up, just to clarify have you been arrested for rape and oral sex? Or just rape?

I must say you did put yourself in a very precarious position meeting with a woman for the first time in that type of environment especially with alcohol involved.

Just because you will be getting charged does not been you will be convicted, sadly the police and CPS do not need any evidence when it comes to sexual Allegations and they often charge people.

Regarding your job I to was in a high profile job and was dismissed because the investigation breached my CRB Certification I'm not saying this will happen to you but you should be aware this could happen.

My investigation took just shy of two years from arrest to charging to crown court trial, hopefully yours will not take too long but please be prepared for the long haul

you were both drunk and consented to intercourse etc sadly this woman is making all kinds of false allegations. Can you think of a motive? Does anything stand out?

You say you were there with your friends too? Perhaps they can give Supporting statements for you?

Or maybe anyone else for that matter?

You said you was arrested a few weeks later

Was there any type of communication between you and her after this? This could be very important if there has been

Finally your not alone mate we all have the scars of being FALSELY ACCUSED on here, you will find really good people and priceless advice on this site.

Try to keep your mind occupied make sure you document anything you can remember from that day.

      Take care mate

Arsenal, oral sex without consent is now classed as rape.

Which area will the trial be in? I ask, as you may not know of experienced solicitors who can defend you, in that area.

Hello, thanks for getting back to me.
The police have already spoken to my friend who was with me that night.

I'm also based in Leicester if anybody could recommend a good legal team as I really don't believe my current firm have my best interests and seem only focused on me signing financial aid forms!

I just can't believe this is happening and on what grounds she can say it wasnt consensual, I don't see any motive for her to do this.

He says he was "falsely Accused of rape" I assumed this was sexual intercourse! And that he was maybe arrested for Intercourse rape as well as oral

"Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without that person's consent"

It is quite rude of you to imply that I am not aware that oral sex without consent is also classed as rape...very rude

That was out of order RF I am fully aware of legislation around CONSENT!

Jon you have caused no confusion at all.

The solicitor I was recommending is Paul Trotter. I don't recommend solicitors practices as it's always down to the individual person. I hope he is still there although I see the link doesn't work now.

Edit: It looks as though he very sadly died last year. He will be greatly missed. He was only in his 40's I think.
