Hey everybody long time no talk.
For anybody who doesn't know, 1 and a half years ago I was hit with an allegation of sexual assault via digital penetration. Come 9 months after that I was formally charged on 2 counts of Sexual assault via digital penetration and sexual assault via touching of a breast.
Last Tuesday I attended the beginning of my trial. My Barrister, Laura, and my Solicitors Gerry McDonald (And his wonderful assistant Sanah) from EBR Attridge, led me to this point with both poise and proffesionalism. Understandably I was nervous, but having told nothing but the truth from the start I kept on to the hope that the truth will come out.
Well, after many initial delays (Police giving evidence later than they were supposed to, or giving it corrupted, or giving it in a specialist format not readable by standard software, etc etc etc.) the trial came to a conclusion today.
I'm glad to tell you all, that after a mere 30 odd minutes deliberation, the jury unanimously decided not guilty on both charges. The truth prevailed! I am free! It's finally over!
Thank you so much for what support I did recieve while I was here, and just the messages that I saw when I wasn't posting myself. Most of all, I can not stress how incredibly great EBR Attridge have been throughout all of this, and major thank you to my incredible Barrister Laura.
Gerry and Sanah from EBR are the utmost of professionals and through their work and the barristers work they helped me present the truth clearly and supported me throughout this, I don't know if I'd be here without them.
Anyway, I'm off to go and celebrate with my friends, who have been incredibly great over this. So, to all of you who are worried or panicking, know to never give up hope, and I pray and send all my love to all of you still in turmoil and hope things come to an end as great as it has for me.
