I can assure you that no implication was intended as to the capabilities or effectiveness of PAFAA or any other similar support group. In fact I am 100% grateful for the help and advice PAFAA has given me in the past.
It is true that the prisoner concerned has not yet summoned the courage to take any positive steps to fight back against his accusers. This is because he is so emotionally drained and has no faith that a faulty justice system which has failed him so dismally will ever be able to right the wrongs which have been done to him. He sees no way forward and no way of ever proving his innocence when so many lies about him have been believed. He is convinced that protesting his innocence will only result in even more years of incarceration. I have tried to give him some hope and encouragement for the future but he is totally without hope.
