    It's intended for court officials to help them recognise when help is needed for defendants but will give you useful information I think.

    The solicitor might have something useful to add to, especially as he seems to think that your son needed specialist help at interview. I'm not diminishing the help and support that his Dad was able to give, but experts know the tricks that the police try to pull at interview and can ward them off. It sounds as though his solicitor is on the ball and will be able to answer your question more fully.

      They did not allow my husband to go in with him as he was not his biological father.He just had to wait.

        Oh my goodness!!! The authorities rely on people not knowing their rights and its a disgrace!!

            It's a steep learning curve but there's a wealth of information and support here. That, and a good legal team will see you through - and the kniwledge that many if not most of tgese false allegations never get to trial.

            That's not a reason for complacency and there's every good reason to prepare well and to be able to mount a vigorous defence, but in the meantime, don't panic- there are people who have walked this path before you who will help you navigate the journey.

              Im really confused .
              My son just had a letter from leagal aid which states the offences.
              3 charges but dates different to what was said at the police station.
              Gone from 2005-2012 to 2005-2009 making my son 11-15

              Could this just be an outline of charges?
              Seems strange to me that the dates have changed.
