And to answer the original question, RF is right in so much as you do not wan to be giving evidence to the police for them to manipulate, however no, it is not unusual to want to be charged.

I do not mind being charged, I do not mind being NFA'd. I do, I guess much like yourself mind being on bail/under investigation for another year or so and THEN being charged and having to wait 9 months for a court date and then (once cleared) possibly having to go through the whole 2-3 year nightmare again trying to bring charges against her.

It is not worth the angst and the money. Look what happened to Freddie Starr. He tried to sue his accuser and the judge in the case decided he was guilty - no jury - no hearing of ALL the evidence. He just decided he was. Freddie fled the country so he didn't have to pay the accuser's costs which amounted to nearly £1M

Waste of Tax Payers Money

Do you think it is odd that one the things that annoys me most about my case is the all the waste of tax payers money. If I go to court it will be a ridiculous amount.

An update, charges are being dropped and convictions overturned.

Charges dropped AND convictions overturned? Was there a conviction in your case and some charges were dropped prior to conviction or are you referring to different cases with regards to the forensic company? If so, can you provide a link please?
