The fact is that I am on my own here in this country and all my family is in India. My wife alleged me such horrendous crime which I cannot believe myself. Not able to speak to anyone or not having any support have bought me to ground. went to see movie to pass time and take my minds off but it didnt work. I still love that lady like I did before even if she seem to have used me. I cannot get over the fact this happened.

I was thinking of giving up when I called my parents and they asked me that its not good to be alone and whether I can come there so that they can support me, thats why we asked.

    I am very sorry.

Aman you do not need to apologise. You do NOT come across as being controlling at all. You are in a terrible situation and you are asking for help and most of us can see and respect that.

I think it might be a good idea to ask the solicitor to write to the police, outlining the problems you have, and that you have absolutely nobody in this country to help and support you at this difficult time. The solicitor could then ask if you could have permission to travel back home for a certain amount of time as long as you provide information of where you will be staying, for instance. It is worth asking.

    Hold on in there

Thanks, for these words I think I need it now. I am just in such a bad position. I called some solicitors and was told it would cost me excess of 40000 to go through the case, feeling like I should just give up as this amount of money is impossible to get.

I have no idea what to do as I was recently gone through divorce and went into marriage because of her. She used me big time, I am already paying debts from last marriage and this amount.

What will I do, I dont know.

You really need to have your wits about you if you're going to have to fight this all the way.
Financially, it's a lot of money but you can get great legal representation on a legal aid basis.
How much you have to contribute will depend on your income/assets.
The outcome is not dependant on who pays the most!
At present, try not to overthink it all.
Take your time to get your head round things.
Take it all a step at a time, being overwhelmed is "normal" in this nightmare!
I will never forget it myself!
For the time being it's a waiting game.
You can't see the wood for the trees, but trust me it gets slightly easier.
This is the new normal, try and accept what's happened.
Stay positive that the truth will out.

          Thanks

I was feeling very low and suicidal so called the ambulance. Being on my own in this situation is not helping.
          Thanks

Get all the help they offer!!
            Take it all.
            It will help.
I'm so sorry that you're feeling so bad.
My OH is still on anti depressants nearly a year after NFA.
There's absolutely no shame in letting people help.
Well done for recognising the signs before anything happened!
            Keep strong.
            You'll get through it!

Please do not sign with anybody who will charge you a lot of money until you have done your homework on them. Especially do not be taken in by any "legal enquiry agents" who might have told you that they only use QCs "as they are the most respected". Also be wary of anybody like that who asks what car you drive and if you own property, if there is any equity in it. Please be warned that there are some real charlatans out there.

It is possible that you are entitled to legal aid and any interview with the police costs you nothing anyway. If you are in the south east the best duty solicitor in my view is http://www.freemanssolicitors.net/si...ile/harvey_fox

May I ask who it is who quoted you £40K +? I ask this, as it could be an excellent solicitor and people here might be able to tell you that, but equally, it could be somebody who is only interested in your money.

Keep sharing on here and we will be here to listen

                  Yes, Gerry knows his stuff.
You must have a return ticket and you must return!
If a trip is what you feel you need then you must have a trip.
But make sure you are returning when your ticket says.
You need to do what's right for you as you are emotionally fragile.
Hopefully you will return with renewed energy and fight.
                  It's very early days.
Bail isn't until January so make sure you're back in good time.
You never know, it may all be dropped by then!
                  Your health is extremely important.

wow, who quoted your £40k ??

And have you spoken to Riz @ Arcadian Law ? He would be much more realistic in his fees.

The first thing Aman needs to do is to clarify whether he is eligible for legal aid, before sending him to private client solicitors.

We've had many NG verdicts in this group from LA solicitors and some convictions where they have chosen to pay privately.

Sorry to all of you that I was not able to reply. I was taken to custody again as I was unable to control my emotions and wrote her an email asking for reason for all this mess. the only good thing was that I didnt write anything regarding case. SO they kept me and released me to same bail conditions as I have no previous convictions.

Gerry McDonald quoted me fees of anwhere from range of 40-50K. But he was very helpful and forwarded my details to Paul Legg of Freemans Solicitors and a lady called Claire from Freemans came today to the police station to represent me.

I have learned mt lesson and will not do the mistake again. I have also written my story how and what happened till now from the time I met her. If anyone interested I will be able to send it. My life is in tatters but I have decided now to stand and fight the allegations which are all false. I will bring her to justice.

                        Aman

I am so pleased you have used Freeman's solicitors.

I don't know Claire from there so cannot comment. As far as I know Freemans are very careful who they take on as staff, so I am sure she must be very competent.

If you are re-interviewed and were happy with Claire's input then ask for her. If you would prefer a male solicitor, ask for Harvey Fox from Freeman's, as he specialises in mental health problems including the severe stress and anxiety false allegations and bring.

                            thanks

I am very anxious re. the allegations but am sure that god will show me the way. i have decided that its no good running behind liars as she is sorting maybe her visa situation. She was a failed Asylum seeker and maybe trying to sort her and her kids life without having to live with some however she is not thinking that she broke a family and have played with emotions.

I will get strong and will not write her anymore.

Freeman Solicitors are good until now and I think Harvey is on my case as he wrote to the investigating officer with regards to updating him on my case. Claire was helpful but I think that I will be more oprn to a male solicitor so will ask for this.

Thanks for all your support I dont know how I should have made it without as I am on my own and now police have said me not to leave the country before the case as I broke my bail condition. but sometimes heart overtakes the brain and we take wrong steps.

Such a shame you broke your bail conditions but that is now past and cannot be undone.
