Wrongful conviction

Hi my partner was wrongfully convicted in July this year due to my his stepdaughter accusing him of false allegations.we feel his barrister and solicitor have been said there's no grounds for appeal the was no evidence it was just a case of his word against hers.there was evidence not used and 3 witnesses never used please could anyone advise me if there's anything he can do to try and get an appeal. He is a kind and caring man he shouldn't be there he has done no wrong.from the start we could tell the judge was against it was if he never stood any sort of chance of a fair trail.

The first thing is to make a list of the questions you have as to why he didn't use x, y and z evidence and the witnesses.

Send the list to the solicitor and ask him to request from the barrister a written Advice on Appeal, which includes addressing your concerns.

Don't tell us what is said on that, but come back and tell me and maybe we can PM.

Hi the solicitor rang to day and she is sending me the letter which states they can't find any grounds and has now said she has done all she can and no longer is representing him. What steps could I take now to help him

See my post above. He is entitled to a written Advice on Appeal so make sure you get one!

Wait until you get the Advice. It will be negative but at least you will have the necessary document when you start looking elsewhere. A solicitor can't make a start without that - usually.

Hi again my partners solicitor has now she said is no longer represent him and she doesn't think any one else will take him on. Is there nothing else I can do to help him

Have you read my previous posts on this thread? If not, read them now and ask for the document I have mentioned.

Just to jog your memory in my first reply I said this:

This is not her 'representing' him it is her doing the job Legal Aid has paid her to do which is to ask the barrister for the Advice on Appeal and send it to you.
