As a teacher, this case is personal to me. I've been following it up and I'm
exhilarated that he's found not guilty. I hope the allegation won't show on his enhanced DBS- that would be a killer blow.

I think you have summed up the CPS perfectly there....SHAMBOLIC!!!

You would have to hope at some stage, something will be done about how they approach such matters!
I am not saying for one minute they have an easy job....however it states on there own website that if there is NOT enough evidence, they will and cannot take take a case further!

I would love to know what constitutes 'evidence' in the eyes of CPS. Poor bloke - I can certainly empathise with his horrific experience. And despair why CPS took it to trial. Hope he recovers from the trauma.
