  • Been charged!!!!

Hi everyone, not been on for a while...
Had a call from my solicitor today saying the cps had decided to charge me!
    Shocked to the core!!!'

So sorry to hear this, it must be a terrible shock.

Give yourself a few days to recover, then it's time to fight. I really do believe the general public are beginning to realise false allegations do happen and there are a number of not guilty verdicts here to give you hope.

Hope you're able to find a good barrister, character witnesses etc and that you have support from friends and family.

        Thanks RF.
Well I originally spoke to Chris, and he gave me Louise Straw's details @ Burton Copeland
They appear to be very professional

So sorry to hear of this. Just looked back at your old post and can’t believe this started 3 year ago. I was falsely accused of abuse 4 weeks ago and it’s been a living nightmare, how on earth did you cope all this time? Our cases are similar in the fact it’s a family member. We are in the middle of a family feud and it’s my niece who says I abused her about 20 years ago. Utter nonsense. I can’t describe the mixture of emotions I am going through. I’ve always had faith in our Police force and eager for them to interview the rest of the family but from what I have read on here, they won’t be interested. Thoughts are with you at this terrible time.

Now you can start looking for helpful evidence as the "disclosure" comes through. If you can see her and her cohort's profiles on social media and it looks helpful, make good use of your screenshot software. If you can, include your computer's time and date if they show, when they are screenshots from a previous year, and where it might show "two hours ago" for instance..... so you can prove when the post was written.

Hold on in there. We are right behind you

Not to hijack but sorry your in such an awful place, it's been eight months here and I will say not one day has been as a bad as the initial two months. It doesn't stop hurting, you don't stop worrying but after a while it isn't always centre stage it isn't the focus of every single day. It does get better I promise.

So sorry to read this . My son was charged in March 2015. He was acquitted last week . The jury took 10 minutes to find him not guilty on all 3 charges. Get ready to fight and hope you have some support , we was lucky cos we had fantastic friends and family . It's a long bumpynroad but you can do it. Good luck x

I'm so sorry to hear this Aidy! As others say though, this is your opportunity to counter everything that's been alleged and set the record straight. I'm sure you're reeling right now, but we are all still here and will be throughout this next ordeal, supporting you every bit of the way.

In a sort of strange way i'm kind of glad, I mean I would of prefered to be NFA'd, however I have an opportunity to set the record straight!
Plus I think being rebailed again and again and again is soul destroying!
Many thanks once again guys x
