Hello
I was advised to check this forum out as I have been having a really hard time dealing with the emotional and of course legal outfall from an allegation that was made against me last October.
I really hoped this wouldn't be pursued by the CPS based on the fact that a lot of the lies should have been fairly apparent but I have nonetheless been charged today under section 1 and section 2.
It was an unusual situation where myself and my friend met a group of 3 people at a pub and offered them a lift. The flirting escalated quickly with the friend engaged in sexual activity with the 2 people in the back and later I ended up having what I believe to be consensual sex with the 3rd. We laughed and joked the whole time and after and when dropping them off where they asked we sat and chatted a while and even kissed and exchanged phone numbers.
As I am sure most of you on here are painfully aware this is the most shocking and harrowing experience that you are likely to ever go through. On top of it social services have refused unsupervised contact with my daughter who I have always had a lot of involvement with. She is heartbroken that we cannot co camping and to the cinema and travel and do all of the fun stuff we used to and doesn't really understand the severity of the situation. I am trying to approach that with the greatest sensitivity but now that I have been charged it will be publicised and will no doubt create more damage.
I am hoping that someone can advise on a specialist solicitor in the east midlands area. I have checked the forum here on solicitors and have called a few without any real success. I have approximately 1 month before the initial court appearance and really want to make sure I am represented by someone with real experience in this area. I really wish I could afford to enlist private representation but I simply cannot.
If anyone can advise on some experts in the east midlands/north east midlands who can offer legal aid assistance I would be very grateful.
Kind Regards
JAYP
