  • Goddard Enquiry to focus on impact of false allegations

    http://www.familylaw.co.uk/news_and_...d#.VxI2aTH5PIU

I saw the above article a few days ago and thought I would post. I welcome this research being done because at least it acknowledges some people are falsely accused although in my view the article grossly under estimates the numbers of false allegations being made. If more research is done then hopefully it will start to highlight the issue so changes can be made to the system.

Just a quick note - The Goddard Enquiry will only focus on impact on false allegations made by children and not adults but as we know, many adults make false allegations and often put children upto making false allegations too.

I've just read that article and I'm not sure of the point it's making- she seems to be saying that false allegations made by children are only 1% ?

I doubt it's that low, although obviously historical allegations are usually made by adults, relating to alleged childhood sexual abuse.
