Second of all, please don't panic. You and your son are not alone dealing with this nightmare, even if the original poster doesn't check back in.
Accusations like this are sadly rampant at the moment. Your son will be entitled to legal aid for a solicitor for the interview, but he needs a specialist. It's not till Tuesday so you have time to look at the thread on here with recommendations that can point you in the direction of one in your area. I believe he is also allowed a responsible adult - you - with him.
I'm not a legal expert and there are Mum's on the site with experience who I'm sure will come along soon with some reassurance. Keep calm and give your son a hug and I'm sending you both a virtual one. You will both get through this.'Mongolian Warriors had the courage of lions, the patience of hounds, the prudence of cranes, the long-sightedness of ravens, the wildness of wolves, the passion of fightingcocks, the keenness of cats, the fury of wild boars and the cunning of foxes.' BE A MONGOLIAN WARRIOR WHEN DEFENDING YOUR INNOCENCE!

PS There's a 'sticky' thread for finding the specialist solicitors I mentioned.'Mongolian Warriors had the courage of lions, the patience of hounds, the prudence of cranes, the long-sightedness of ravens, the wildness of wolves, the passion of fightingcocks, the keenness of cats, the fury of wild boars and the cunning of foxes.' I'm not sure if you will be able to sit in on the interview as an appropriate adult; this depends if you are likely to be a witness (so if you knew nothing about the allegation and it wasn't alleged to have happened in your home you should be ok)
In fact, as you have been given some notice of the interview, it might be as well for your son to have a prior chat with the solicitor you have chosen to attend with him.
If there was some sort of sexual activity which has led to this accusation he may be more open to discussing it with someone other than yourself and the solicitor can also then give some guidance on how he should respond to the questioning.'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger'

if your lad hasn't already told the police about this very useful discrepancy, please make sure he doesn't. They would go back to the accuser who will then change her story to suit.People Appealing Convictions of Sexual Offences ~http://www.pacso.co.uk
