There's a sticky thread entitled 'Specialist Solicitors'. You will have to trawl through it to find someone from your area and watch out for any posts warning you off someone that a members had a bad experience with, but take a look there and it will save you waiting for a response here.

PS. I'm sorry to hear that you're having to deal with a charge though. We all hope for a NFA letter.

He most certainly is! As I said before, if you cannot get legal aid, Chris is the man for the job.

Louise Straw is a lovely woman, rang up the other day out of desperation as family keep asking questions and moaning about solicitors etc. She was able to help me calm down and relax in a five minute phone call. Wasn't much I could do as on initial bail but she explained the process abit and helped put some of the nagging worries into perspective.

If that's the support she gives a stranger on the phone think I may well use her if I have to. Hope I don't need her but have her number saved just incase.

She does indeed, give them a ring and ask to speak to her. Let her know you were referred via daftmoo as well. As I say I've not met in person but if she can calm me in five minutes on the phone she's worth talking to. She also cuts the bs out and tells it like it is which I really liked.

Yes sorry it is Louse Straw!
Ive only ever spoken to her over the telephone, but she was very nice and understanding with me!
I have also spoken with Chris over the telephone also, and he is a gentleman and is very knowledgeable in such matters!!!
