I have been charged with one count of rape of a women over 16 years old today!

Hi all. I haven't been on in a while I have been getting on with life,

I came home 10 minutes ago to my mum saying 'it's not good news son, the police have just been and you have been charged!'

I feel like my whole world has just collapsed around me!

Now I need a good solicitor ... I am in the Merseyside/Liverpool area.



Any help or advice would be great.

Trail will take place in Liverpool. And I am not sure if I will be going down legal aid or private route.

so sorry to hear... suprising you've not actually been arrested though (but just police come round with charge) funny how different areas do things differently.

I feel so angry and upset. Just knowing I have to stand in that dock and defend my Liberty. Just over some silly lies and a silly girl who felt sorry for herself.

Hang in there! Lots of people have said that waiting for a decision is the worst part. Once that decision comes, there is something to be said for being able to focus on gathering a defence and putting your energy into something concrete.

There is Keith Park Quality Solicitors in Liverpool for legal aid. I cannot say whether they are good or not though. Sorry I cannot be of more use!
