I can't find a way to start a Poll as to whether this specimen should be allowed to post in these FALSELY accused forums, when they have a clear interest in seeing children being abused and tortured on their computer screens.

    Can anybody help please?

There are details of how to start a poll in the FAQ's. Apparently if you start a new thread there is the option to include a poll via a button at the bottom of the page - if I've read the instructions correctly.

      Hope this helps.

The big deal is that someone took those images and that viewing them, at the very least completes, continues and exacerbates that circle.

I understand that this man feels hard done by in the length of time that it is taking to process the evidence and his case, but quite honestly, he is complaining to the wrong group. His post gives the impression, to me at least, that he feels that he hasn't done anything 'that bad', and his remorse therefore seems misplaced, like a child's who is shouting, 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!!!', in the hope that the punishment for some minor misdeed will be lessened. His complaint that the police treatment of the whole indecent images is a witchunt, also implies that he thinks the issue is 'no big deal'. I truly wish they could all be wiped from the web.

'I said I'm sorry, what more do you want?' 'All I did was look at a computer screen' as if it's nothing much, is what he's saying - and then he casts doubt on whether or not people on this forum are truly falsely accused.

Much as he was making valid points about police bail, that was not the way to win friends and influence people. I feel tainted by the fact that he used part of my comment as a quote, which is silly I know, but there we are.

I hope that if he comes back after a short ban, he will look at this thread again and understand why people are upset and angry.
So much of this is totally spot on and how I felt when I read it.

The guy admitted his offences, read the first post. He has downloaded images of some form of child abuse. End of story as far as I am concerned - he does not belong here. This is before you take into account the horrific arrogant nonchalant selfish narcissistic way he explains it away. Everything about this poster makes my skin crawl, I do hope he's a troll.

IMHO his post should be removed and banned, someone like shouldn't be associated with this forum.

Maybe leave the post, and the responses, as it shows that, contrary to some people's narrow opinion, some of us do not support sex offenders.

I agree. This man clearly states that he admitted guilt on day 3, (why not immediately?),and that 'it did him no good' indicating that he did so only to benefit himself. His twisted logic is exactly what makes him a danger and who is to say that his children or any other child that he comes across is safe?

So many of us are sitting here, falsely accused and yet resigned to the fact that the wheels of bail grind slowly. His outrage that his confession afforded him no favours is insulting.

Let's leave his posts here so that others can see that such mindsets are not tolerated.

As an addendum to the original topic, I read recently that the new legislation will not help much. There will be a presupposition of no bail for all but the most serious cases so people will be released without conditions but the most serious cases, so people can still be left to languish for months or years without a decision. Also, though there will be processes to go through to extend bail, there is still to be no limit on the eventual length of time. All the police have to do is extend it in blocks of less than 3 months and the courts won't be involved for permission.

It seems to be a retrograde step to me and not an overall improvement for those affected ar all, just less paperwork for the police. Restrictions may be fewer but the torture of waiting will continue, so it seems.

Incase it was unclear as a mother a law abiding citizen and a member of a family in pain because of false accusations I vote on permanent ban. Child pornography is horrid and condones abuse that will stay with those children a life time.
