could someone reccomend good legal aid solicitor in nottingham?

Hi
Our current Legal Aid barrister seems doesn't believe in success at all
He said -"that will be difficult to prove your innocence" Difficult but not impossible!!!!
Honestly if I had £30000 (approximate quote ) I would spend it for proper solicitor without hesitation, but I never seen such amount in my whole life.
Me- lone parent on minimum wage, my son- part-time worker
I tried to research our current one but almost no information at all -only official info
