Private prosecutions cost a fortune and it's unlikely the CPS would do so, unless there was hard evidence that the allegations were provably false, beyond all doubt.

You would only be able to consider compensation if you can prove that this was a malicious prosecution by the police/CPS. That would mean proving that there was "an abuse of process" whereby they didn't stick to the rules to such an extent that no other officer or CPS solicitor would have referred the matter to Crown court.

Have a look at other people's threads and see if you can help them by posting up a few supportive words. This is a self help forum and if you have a good look around you will see that the more support you give, the more will come back

That is a terrible sequence of events you have had to endure, however it is a common theme that underpins all these investigations if you can call them that.
I don't really understand what " abuse of process " actually is- all I know is that once allegations are made it doesn't suit the police or CPS to bother talking to anyone who can prove innocence.
It's a sad world we live in, one that needs to change.

Sorry about what you went through so cruel and unfair hugs. Take heart that it's over, you have a fresh start in a new area and its a brand new year. As its been proven your not guilty hopefully the police will offer you.some protection if complainants try and make contact. Your incredibly brave to have made it through all this.

@jones26- you are entitled to police protection whether you trust them or not.
After we found out our home, which we had to leave, had been broken into and vandalised they put a watch on it,
Too many mistakes have been made.

If you can;t face the cops, how about starting with CAB or using the free 30 minutes of legal advice to speak to a solicitor who has some experience of these matters??

There's a list on here about specialist solicitors-put in a search and it should come up.
It's those who deal with sexual offences however I think a human rights lawyer sounds appropriate here
