  • What does it mean...

    Hello first of all.

I'm new to the forum but have been viewing for some time. Your posts have given encouragement in a difficult time.

My partner has been falsely accused of indecent assault on a girl from when he was a teacher many years ago.

This has been now going on for a year and a trial date has been set for December (just before Christmas grrr)

Anyway, today was the day CPS was supposed to deliver their "evidence" against my partner to his solicitor. But they have failed to do so. The solicitor is going to inform the court and remind the CPS of the dates set out.

This can only look good for us right??

All it shows is that the CPS as usual are not ready. Sometimes it take a court hearing so the judge can then rule on what evidence must be handed over to the defence.

Hold on in there. Read the threads as many of your questions will be answered on them

Thank you. I hope they get penalised for it. It gives us less time to organise our defense which is annoying

Back in the good old days the defence would be allowed extra time to go through the evidence that is eventually pulled kicking and screaming from the CPS. That doesn't always happen now, unfortunately. Hopefully you you have a good sol and barrister who will at least argue for extra time, if it is needed.

        Hang on in there.
