Just a quick update.

Got the decision that I am being charged.
Disappointed but knew in the present climate their was a distinct possibility of this happening.

I'm angry that there is no accountability/responsibility on the part of the woman.
They absolve themselves completely by citing (taken under their volition) drink, recreational drugs etc.

I will fight to clear my name but know the next few months are going to be difficult.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Tony. I'm terribly sad to hear that you have been charged. From your account in earlier posts, the "case" appeared (to me at least) to be very thin. All I can say is that you should take heart from that...IF this case gets before a jury, then those people (normal citizens such as myself) will have to be satisfied that the events occurred as your FA has alleged. If your account (on this site) is accurate, that won't be as easy as it sounds.

You mentioned in your earlier posts that you were worried about a possible "hidden" allegation that the police appeared to be withholding. (If you feel comfortable doing so) Please can you tell me what you have been charged with and were there "extra" charges than the one you expected?

At least you have braced yourself for this!
Can't offer any advice as we are not quite there yet, were still waiting on cps.
Like you we expect a charge in the current climate.
From what I hear this will be the fight of your life, but you must stay strong and stay positive.
You're innocent and this is your chance to prove it!
We're here for you, so keep going! Keep us updated.

Tony1- I truly hope you have a positive outcome. It truly is a fight for life but those of us on the same journey have all the empathy in the world for you

In the present climate it's just sheer numbers, they WANT numbers up to show that they are doing something. They don't care if it's fair or not. My case was thin off the back of a flaky account and just he said she said but I still got charged. To the surprise of my solicitor I might add.

It's politically motivated in a way that Cameron just wants numbers to go up. The public see the news and realise that something is being done about it.

Not comfortable putting exact details down but the basics are sexual assault and not rape (Happy to discuss further on PM)
