I've just gotten off the phone with the OIC of my case and have had my official NFA.

I can't begin to express the relief that I'm feeling now that this is over.

My heart goes out to anyone in the same sort of situation that I was in. Stay strong.

    Hi StressedNE

Very pleased to hear your good news ! hope you can relax a bit now

You mentioned in an earlier post that your solicitor was dealing with many similar cases, what was your opinion of him/her ? If favourable would you please post details in recommended solicitors section.

    Best wishes

    FS

      Good point FS!

I'm thinking this NFA was after using a legal aid solicitor - yes?

Here's some bananas coming your way!

Yeah. I just had the duty solicitor from Row and Scott in Newcastle. The guy who attended my interview was a guy called Ryan Dunwoodie. I was very impressed with him, he put me at ease straight away and was really supportive and unequivocal in his opinion of the case (namely that it was BS and I shouldn't worry), very patient with my little freakouts and generally was invaluable in getting me through it. If he turns up at your interview you should thank your lucky stars! Don't think he he works for Row and Scott full time, he's a representative for them, whatever that means, but he works on these sort of cases full time and is really experienced and knowledgeable, despite being quite young at 30 or so.
My solicitor at Row and Scott was Toni Sowerby. She was also really good, always available for advice and did what she could for me. Really helpful with liaising with the police (although I did a lot of that myself) and generally very kind and supportive. Not a sex offence specialist like Ryan but still very attentive and helpful.
I have to say I don't think I would have stuck with this legal team if it had have gone to trial but pre-charge they were brilliant.
