  • Falsely accused and convicted of rape: will appeal.

My relative has been falsely accused of rape. He has been convicted already but we are going to appeal.

I heard that it is very difficult for a conviction of this nature to be overturned through appeal. Is this true? The accuser was obviously lying, she changes her story with each interview but nobody was able to point this out!

If anybody can give me any information or websites for support I would be very grateful.

    Thank you.

    Falsely accused and convicted

You can come to www.pafaa.org.uk where you will get further support. Email me on rightsfighter@pafaa.org.uk and I can advise you further.

The accuser lying through the witness statements is not unusual. The barrister should have cross-examined her and referred to her w/s's to to prove to the jury s/he was lying and the judge would then have to direct the jury with regard to these inconsistencies if her evidence was littered wtih them.
