I recently went on a night out with all my friends and drunk far too much, I had a complete blackout and cant remember being being out at all.
I woke up in a cell not knowing what i had been arrested for. When asked i was told because of sexual assault.
The Victim's status said that I was in the club with my top off and i caught her eye, she then approached me to sell me some shots. As she approached i put my hand on her crotch (she was wearing jeans) and then removed my hand. She told me that i cant touch anyone like that and i have stood there blank. She has told the police and they arrested me.
This is completely out of character and my first ever offence, i dont hang around with any boys who do this kind of stuff either. There was no witnesses and thee's no cctv also she has described me as 5ft6 when I'm 6ft1? I feel bad about the whole thing and sorry for the victim but on the other hand i cant remember anything so it might not of been me? My solicitor told me to go with no comment as i cant remember anything?
I have been charged and i will be appearing in the magistrates court. I dont know what to do next as i dont know if im inoccent or guilty? What am i likely to recieve? Will i go to jail?
