Hi mutley, so sorry to hear this. Welcome to the forum.
I don't think there's anything you can do about the boy. Not sure about the school... I would have thought it was their duty to provide adequate supervision at all times.
How's your boy doing now? Is he back at the same school?
There have been cases of false accusations on here of 14 year olds (I don't know why this age in particular), I hope one of them will answer your thread.
Take care

Hi Mutley - I'm so sorry to hear about your son. What a total nightmare for you both. I'm one of the FA'd teenager's mums on here.
I am assuming male/male sex assault - especially at this age is less common than any other combo. Bearing this in mind I would continue to disclose very little on here as those who are not sympathetic to your family will be able to view your posts.
When my son received the NFA verdict from the police I went to see the OIC and her boss to ask for detail regarding how the case had progressed and where that outcome had left my son relieved, however the process had been devastating. The girl who FA'd him had asked the police not to proceed before the CPS had even seen the case against my son, however like your case there was no DNA evidence anything had happened - never mind assault or rape.
When I asked if there was a case against the girl, for "wasting police time" or "perverting the course of justice" they looked incredulous and put to me all the reasons why the poor girl might had made the accusation and decided not to follow up. When I said - but she called my son a rapist - is he not a 14 year old victim of a horrible untruthful accusation? They said "oh I don't think she actually said that" (she did to his face, to others and on facebook) I decided to leave it at that. A big part of that decision not to try and pursue any action against her was due to my son's desperation to get it all over and put it behind him. We are one year on and he has done - he's doing well in school although he doesn't really socialise and is very much less confident and carefree about life.
So in answer to your question what redress is there? I don't think there is any. No doubt school/LEA/police will all say they were following procedure and yet again the true victim is left unsupported with their life in shreds. This was our experience - maybe others have succeeded in taking some action against their FA - but very very few are prosecuted - especially at that age. I attach a report I found re false accusations - the police I dealt with didn't know it existed.
