I've received an odd email in my junk folder. The contents of the email are two words and the subject line has two words. Is this from you and if it is, can you please write the two words in the title and the two words in the message please? I don't want to respond if it is indeed spam.

Thanks for your email this morning. Have emailed the very best solicitor to ask how much he charges for a police station interview (I don't think he's a duty sol so you would have to pay but would be well worth it). Will contact you when I get a response.

Let me know if/when you need me to ring you. I am expecting a delivery so could be indoors all day, so should be able to ring any time.

Still no news about anything, and driving him further and further down, he will not come out of his room and I feel so bloody angry at this person for doing this to us, we are good people 😥

So sorry to about this hellish experience.

The waiting is so awful and seems to be ever present throughout every waking second and most of the night.

You will get thru this. Be prepared to find out that the police are not to be trusted and not especially desperate to discover the truth.

Try to stay (or appear) strong for your son - he really needs you.

The advice on here is invaluable. Just being able to rant eases the stress slightly. Keep posting.

                            Best Wishes to you both

Hi SoWorried. So sorry you and your son are in this position

'Try to stay (or appear) strong for your son - he really needs you. ' This is such good advice from CIGW

My son was also wrongly accused and I discovered quite early on that he really didn't want to talk about it. I tended to think we had to talk about it, but mostly we didn't and his stressed increased enormously when we did. I think part of that is due to the awkwardness of a lad's sex-life revealed to his mum. Bickering with brother or sister = perfectly normal under the circumstances, perhaps explain to the sibbling that he needs to be tolerant for the time being.

You've done what you can so far, and that's find a solicitor with RF's help. Apart from him writing everything down as it happened and who was a witness to the events (kept in a safe place) it's out of his and your hands until he gets interviewed. All you can really do is make sure you have the best defence you can and to try and carry on with as normal life as possible.

He may or may not be bailed and again, you may have to wait and wait again. This is extremely gruelling, the lack of information, the never knowing when it's going to end etc really wears you down and shatters your nerves if you let it.

It's brilliant he's going running with his friend. Is there some physical exercise or relaxation you can also do ? Sleep is incredibly important, even if you have to resort to sleeping pills and so is distraction - laughter is brilliant - watch some funny films or your favourite comedian.

                              Good luck

You both need really good support now, you so you can continue being a strong Mum, so why not see the GP together? They really hear more of this type of problem than you think.

Keep an eye open for anything on fb, any news that she is out partying etc.

I hope this is soon sorted but you aren't on your own. X
