  • How's everyone coping?

Ive been experiencing really bad mood changes past few weeks, some days even four five times an hour... i thought about going to the gp and ask for help but they are no use in this country.
How does everyone mange the feelings of hate and despair? I'm going crazy

Bit of a sweeping statement - my 2 are brilliant.....that said, if you are not happy with the treatment you receive from your GP you have the right to change surgery. Your GP is the "gatekeeper" to you being able to access the mental health services in your area. Many areas also have counselling and talking therapy organisations which are free or paid for which you can refer yourself to.
other people have found alternative therapies.
It also might be worth your while googling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
    Good luck

I am not living in uk. No doubt my gp is a great doctor but they cannot prescribe antidepressants without therapy and i am considered "low priority" and going to register in another district soon. Thus could get access to therapy and antidepressants in 5months - by then i will be moving again, have to wait again...

Sorry to hear that your mood is fluctuating at the moment thisisinsane

G.P's can prescribe antidepressants without therapy in this country, as this was the case with me. I wanted the therapy not the antideppressants!!

PTSD? Thought this was for people who had experienced trauma, in which they felt that their life was at stake? Be it a war veteran or someone exposed to domestic/sexual violence?

            Hi WG -
any form of trauma can cause PTSD - (although it is more usually associated with war veterans). The emergency personnel who attended 9/11 suffered from it afterwards; accident victims, victims of abuse - both physical and mental and people who have witnessed trauma can suffer from it too. I was diagnosed with it 7 years ago following trying to tolerate a year of workplace bullying by the Headteacher.

Its alright MH My gp said he would siggest therapy. The only way to get immediate treatment is to claim high risk of suicide.Ive gained 1,5 stone since it started and i keep eating more i dont know how to cope with all this

Ive been reading through the statements and im still shocked everytime i read this bull****. I feel like i cant handle it anymore it now seems mire likely for him to be found guilty than ever. How do you disprove a lie when there are gardly and details and we dont know muvh about her life? Also there is something "supportive of the allegation" in the medical report that even makes the barrister worry... so i really dont know whats goig to happen in 2015 but my intuition tells me its not going to be a happy end. I don't feel like celebrating tonight at all. Still waiting wish everyone of you a happy new year and i hope you will find yourself in a better position to fight if you have to.
