Hi, I was listening to radio 4 yesterday about Labour Government wanting to change the justice system if they got in at the next election. Apparently, they feel, (more like women pressure groups, Alison Saunders, prof Marianne Hester, Prof Besty Stanko, Emily Thornberry, Norman Baker, Yvette Cooper, Martin Hewitt, Christine Chinkin, Louise Ellison, Harriet Wistrich..and the rest of the cronies. These and more individuals, cause negatives ripples against boys and men. They believe in a society where a woman is treated like a child...a 17, 18,19 year old is not a child and needs to take some responsibility when they consent in sex. However, these people are pushing for a person's vulnerabilities as evidence rather than consent!..Surely, this is so unfair to boys and mern in this country. There was talk too on radio 4, suggesting that Labour want to get rid of the Barrister altogether and that the women does not go to court at all and be cross examined. Additionally, instead of the Barrister the bias judge will decided the fate of the poor boy or man. How utterly unfair!..I will not be voting for Labour that I know!
Gosh!..These individuals who are pushing for this change have also pushed for new guidelines on charging from Feb 2014. The home office guidance means that more rape allegations are recorded and investigated. It should also be possible to compare for the first time the number of rape reports made to police in different regions. The incident must be recorded by police as a crime, within a maximum of 72 hours, from the time the incident is first logged.
Read, An overview of sexual violence, by mets evidence and performance unit in 2013, which showed how various factors influenced the chances of police dropping rape cases.
Northern Rock Foundation, the study, from report to court by Marianne Hester.
I wonder if these individuals pushing for changes in the law have a son, husband, father, brother...I wonder how they would cope if someone was falsely accused who they love?
