    To rights fighter

Sorry for the late reply. No I can't see her on facebook or any of her friends she was with that night. Have read his trial barristers opinion as to why he cannot appeal and the trial judge mentioned that there may have been an abuse of process by the police from them not collecting the CCTV is this significant?

    Thanks

I don't know as I haven't seen the papers of course. If there had been a serious abuse of process I think the judge would have certified an application for appeal, so it seems that maybe he didn't think it was enough to appeal. As I say though, I haven't seen the paperwork so cannot say.

Hopefully you have now contacted solicitor Chris

        ..

Hi, Sorry for the late reply again. His legal aid has been stopped, trying to build a case up to give a solicitor.

What would be the best way to get his trial transcripts, have called the court writers and they are quoting around £6000 to type up the full lot. Is there any other way of getting them?

        Thanks in advance for replies

Did he have legal aid for solicitor Chris? If not possibly he could apply for it providing he is eligible (doesn't have a private income).

You could aim for the JSU (Judge's Summing Up) first and as you go through the paperwork, work out what else you need.

The only way he would not have to pay (if he does not have funding) is to try the CCRC (Google it) - however they usually will only take on a case that has been to CA already unless there are 'exceptional circumstances'. CCRC has certain powers that mean they can obtain certain records (medical; family; divorce; council.... etc) that sometimes a solicitor cannot.

The bar where the lady was picked up from outside, I am going to ask them if it would be possible to see if can try retrieve the CCTV footage, get computer forensics company to see if they can get something as it may show the car/person who actually did this to her.

Any advice how to approach this?

            Thanks in advance
