At this stage he doesn't need a specialist solicitor. The sol who goes with him if it's necessary is there to see fair play and to keep a record of what is said by who and to explain everything IF it is necessary. IF your dad is charged then you will need to look for a specialist solicitor - but as I said before, you are jumping a long way ahead - wait and see what the OIC says tomorrow, then ask these questions again IF you need to.....
RF says she'll have a look at this tomorrow if she has a mo - she has quite a lot of appeal and other stuff on as always.....
All the best for tomorrow - got to sign off now - sleep well - will be thinking of you.....

More than a few members have posted that it is the uncertainty that is hard to cope with; once they know that a trial is coming up they are ready for the fight to clear their name and gain inner strength from this.

MH has asked me to contact you

I have emailed you via your profile.

I am really busy at the mo - off to Plymouth Uni to give a talk on False Allegations on Wednesday and just sent off an application to CCRC (appeal) and have two others on the go and one to come shortly.

However I will do my best to help. Please check your emails and hopefully we can talk over the weekend or just after.

my query is, the police man said it will come up on my dads police checks now, but why does it come up if not charged or cautioned etc? anyone got a idea what happens work wise after something like this as he was suspended with pay as he is a carer

Many guilty people are NFA'd - so in theory everybody should have it on their DBS/ECRB check just in case they re-offend.

He could explain to potential employers what happened to him and show evidence that proves the accuser was lying....

                          As I said

Hopefully he has some evidence that can disprove some of what she said. Also the types of places he would work in would be fully aware of false allegations.

WAAAYYYYYY HAAAAAAYYYYYY hurrah hurrah!!!! Give yourselves time to heal and then begin to rebuild your lives and maybe this will bring you closer to your dad.....
This may not come up on his future DBS checks. With regard to his present job there are no grounds for dismissing him. They may want to give him a bit of training and advice around boundaries though. They should also have a little with the 2 individuals involved...
In the meantime - here they are...
