Innocent Accused of Rape - Requires Specialist Solicitor in West Yorkshire

Hi all,

Is there anyone on here who could recommend a specialist solicitor in West Yorkshire who will take legal aid. I have little money left and to make matters worse I have been suspended from work until the allegation is resolved.

My current solicitor is a duty solicitor provided by the police. I am becoming increasingly frustrated with him. He doesn't pick up or even return any of my calls or messages.

I'd like to begin by saying how much I feel for you.
My husband was found not guilty of a false allegation of rape this month and we have endured 15 months of hell. If you ever need support, we'll be right here.

My husband and I are teachers,and because he worked for N Yorks LA when the accusation was made, his union put us on to a solicitor in York. Thank you all for the support and advise. I don't know where my head would be had I not stumbled upon this forum. The only comfort is knowing that I am INNOCENT but what good will that that do.

Knowing you're innocent does a great deal! It gives you the will to fight against the injustice you are facing for one. Keep telling and maintaining that especially when you get down-hearted. Don't let anyone try to infer or make you state the contrary.
