Question re time limit

I believe i read somewhere here on the forum that, after receiving an allegation or report, the police or CPS have to "do" somehting about it wihtin 6 months. Is that correct? And if so, is that only the case if report, victim, alleged abuser and alleged abuse/rape/or whatever is in one country as in UK or also if another country involved? Or are other 'rules' then involved? Thansk for any advice!

Good question DBI? wonder if you could find that piece of info again? I too would be very interested if this is the case as I'm nearly 7 months since interrogation, no arrest, no news..........

Hi, I might be wrong but I think it might be under Scottish law, and don't think it applies to sexual offences.

Please don't take my word though because as I say I might be wrong.

I would love for that to be the case for you though.
