Husband wrongfully accused of rape , don't know what to do!

Does anybody know how long CPS take to make a decision if it does go to them?

Again can only say that all cases are different. In mine - CPS was asked in January to write to plod in the other country to interview the jointly accused on their behalf. CPS didn't do that till mid/late March............
It's awful but you just can't tell by what's happened to other people......

[How did this happen]

We got a case closed in 6 weeks but I'm not sure if its NFA or NC as the delightful plod haven't bothered to tell us just let us complete a 7 hour round trip to discover the bail had been cancelled and they weren't proceeding.

Our case was a little unusual on here as my partner was arrested from the scene of the fake crime and I was present so u know for a fact there was no intercourse never mind rape and I gave a two hour interview (lecture!!) to the police on this point.

It was still 6 weeks of hell and very worrying and frightening. My partner doesn't really trust females at all now and won't be alone with them. Even down to the smoking area at work where one of his female colleagues regularly joins him he says he feels extremely uncomfortable and a bit scared to be there alone with her.... Very fast smoking goes on I think

But we are good and stronger than we were before so some positives can come of this.

As hard as it is if you love him and think he is worth the wait and the emotional pain then just be there for him when he needs you. He will come back to himself and deep down he will be grateful and thankful you are there.

Find someone to support you too as you will need it. I got slowed of support on here and people like DBI and MH kept me sane and helped me stay strong

Thanks HDTH , pleased to hear that u got a quick positive result and things are good for u and your partner. Seems you have had similar experience to us in the way of police being totally lacking in empathy or conmon courtesy! Our OIC has returned from his second holiday today, so my husband rang the police station to speak with him, another female officer answered and said he's not in till 2pm, however she looked at the case file and said a decision has been made but she can't say what it is, so OIC will be in touch when he comes in duty. Now two hours of complete worry, as much as its more likely that we will get an NFA , there's always an element of doubt and the simple fact that its a possibility this could go to trial. Both hb and I very scared and nervous and to make matters worse we're still apart so can't even comfort each other.

Please keep fingers crossed for us, I will update when we get an answer.

Is it just me... but I feel sick for this couple... I hope the answer is good news... but worry that we have heard no more yet... I will have to go through the same with my son in July.. he has been interviewed twice now and we expect to hear next how/if they will proceed or NFA. I know I will be the same on the day.... Praying for them.... xxx

No good news yet. Going through absolute tourture, today has been the longest day of my life. Sol Was told at five o'clock( not by the OIC) and then told us, that there were charges to be made from the allegations, so was absolutely beside myself as was my hb, and that the OIC was out interviewing for our case( must be the FA as all other witnesses work for my hb and were all in work). Sol then managed to speak to sergeant who confirmed someone will be charged, so now we don't know whether that is my hb or the FA.

Just unbearable wish we had been told nothing regarding a decision being made this morning because we've just been in an awful state all day , with still no real knowledge.

I pray we get an answer tonight, i dont know how much waiting we can bear. its so painful. I just want my life back, we're a Newly married couple, this should be the happiest time of our life.

Thank you saddened and everyone else for your well wishes and prayers. I hope this is a lot less painless when the time comes for you.
