Iam sitting here laughing at the complete joke and contradictions and am stunned this has gone as far as it has! Her changing the story has been equally funny!

My relative has had the same stunned 'who the hell would believe these statements' disclosure moment. I have been told the solicitors have laughed there heads of at some of the witness statement comments.

I think the thing is the police and cps don't have all the evidence and knowledge of the situation that these people are talking about. This means that other than what is staring them in the face they don't get it. Mind you in our case just comparing the statements would make a lot of lies jump out.

Think the main thing that is laugh out loud is the personality assault taking place. I mean being a single with lots of girlfriend is not a crime and as all his girl friends are over 35 the picture being painted of him is way off mark.

Minor update: CPS removed one of his bail conditions on us asking them just once so now he can sleep and go wherever he wants.

Good sign? Also how helpful are hiring private investigators?

Depends on whether you are going to pay privately for your defence or are eligible for legal aid. Legal aid will in some cases allow for a PI but there has to be a very good reason as to why one is necessary. It cannot be a fishing expedition.

You cannot pay for a PI and then claim legal aid as that would be mixing funding and that is not allowed.

I am getting beyond stressed nowadays over this case. Without going in too many details and you can delete anything you wish, here is the outline of everything so far that I have not mentioned before, let me know what you guys think:


-He is being accused of groping her during an examination, it is accepted between everyone that the area would have been exposed during the examination due to the nature of her injury, what is disputed is the groping claim
-Her story and her friend's story completely and hilariously contradicts each other and the fact she changed the ''facts'' days later so their stories can match (her different statements, we have it all written down)
-He has been given excellent support by all the medical professionals, lawyers we know, and everyone who knows him and dozens have volunteered to come to court on his behalf to testify his good character
-On advice of our Sol he gave a no comment interview

English is not his first language and he is very stressed, I have assured him I will help him prepare as much as I can. Our Sol and Barrister are excellent so far.

Even with the lies which will be exposed so easily I can't help but feel what if the Jury doesn't see that? RF does this carry a jail sentence? Our Barrister doesn't seem to think so and thinks as in that horrible event his career at such a young age will be forever over and so will his livelihood so the court will see that, but I'd like your opinion. On my happier days I think she will get trounced in court, the lies are too much for any sane person to ignore.

We have gone on with our lives as much as we could, but this is a dark shadow which is forever cast over us.

I'd like to thank all of you here for the unbelievable support you give to people. Only if this world had more like you guys.

I think we all agonise over the possibility that the jury won't see through the lies and our minds run on, imagining the worst case scenario.

The facts are that sexual assaults can end in a jail sentence if you look at the sentencing guidelines but are very unlikely to do so at the lower end of the scale, especially where the defendant has been of previous good character.

Even so, his career and good reputation are of just as much concern to you both. This is an awful thing to go through and I wouldn't wish it on anybody - actually that isn't true, I hope hub's FA gets her karma!

I clicked the link you posted to see what your case is about but it takes me nowhere. Apologies but I haven't been on this site much recently as I've been busy with the http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/48628 campaign. We now have over 100,000 signatures but need more. I could lose my job if the Minister of 'Justice' (Chris Grayling) gets his way so I've been concentrating on that, and on a trial I am involved with plus appeals.

I wonder if you would post up the link again so I can see what it is about please?

Is there JusticeThank you for your reply And yes what concerns me most is that he is still very young ie in late forties, he has finally after decades of hard work got to where he is and now this happens. Our family just cannot get a break, we lost my grandfather a few years ago due to murder and now this. It seems whenever we start to recover a ton of bricks come crashing down. And it has affected him a lot, there have been times where he has been wary to go out alone unless my Mom was with him, and it just breaks me to see such a gentle person going through trouble like this. All he says is ''you kids get settled into your careers, that is all that matters to me knowing my kids are settled and have nothing to worry about, other than that I will face whatever happens and the truth will win in the end'' and that hurts me, he shouldn't have to go through with this.

The CPS had conditions on his bail, but now have taken them all away (except that he can't meet her obviously) so I don't know, its a good sign?

RF, I have copied pasted my post below (from that thread since the link does not seem to be working) since then he has been charged and we are now waiting for the plea & CM hearing to go ahead, I re-posted the case summary a few posts above in a bit more detail than this:

Firstly a massive thanks to everyone who posts here, the work you people do to run this page is amazing.

My father is a healthcare professional who has been accused of assault, touching basically. It is absolutely mind-boggling. He is so gentle and has been a fantastic role model to not only his family but so many more people I know. He has risked his own life so many times to go in war zones to help people in need and this whole accusation is just mind-boggling. It really is. Even as a law student I can find so many holes and lies in her story. Her bf who was nowhere in the eginging is now suddenly lying everywhere as well about how he was there afterwards wen this alleged incident happened etc when in truth the idiot was NOWHERE when this alleged offence happened! And we know they're lying together and we have told and passed on anything relevant to our lawyer. This story changing at every turn is sickening and disgusting.

Its so stressful for us as a family. We all live together and I haven't even eaten properly since this started, my brother hasn't even studied properly and my Dad just has been so stunned that he is scared to even go near a woman without having someone with him.

As his son it breaks my heart in words I can't describe.

We gave a no comment interview, we have a very good solicitor dealing with our case and the police took nothing from our search and nothing from him at the station.

It is so hurtful even an allegation like this alone can rip apart us all mentally. I wanted to purse a career in health care and Medicine but even now I am having second thoughts, the thought of me in a room with a girl alone I don't know how my Dad or I can even do it in the future. Innocent until guilty? Right.

His bail is till next month, its only been a few weeks now. I just don't what we'll do if this doesn't get dropped. Our whole world has been turned upside down.

Police have been very gentle and professional with him, we were very thankful for that and hats off to them!

Rf I posted above that he has been charged and we are waiting for his plea and case management hearing to go ahead.

I wasn't sure how much details to post, I guess the difference here is he wasn't accused of randomly going an touching someone, it was during the course of his work. It is accepted between everyone that the area in question would have to have been exposed during the examination due to the nature of her injury, what is disputed is the touching claim.

OOPS my mistake - trying to do too much at once!

I know I had acupuncture years ago and I was worried for the doctor who administered it. He was VERY good looking and anybody, male or female who might take a shine to him and be rebuffed could so easily make such a complaint - not chaperone. Apparently the NHS cannot afford chaperones. I wonder how much it would cost them to pay out in 'compo' on such false claims....
