Falsely Accused of Sexual Assault

My friend son going out of his mind, plus his family. He was asked to go to the police for questioning for sexual assault. The Police called it a VA.
He didn't have a solicitor. He was never arrested. He was interviewed at the police station.

He heard, after 4 months that the CPS and the Police said that everything dropped.
I only asking will this be on a CBR. My friend son lost his job over the accusation.

I don't know. But instead of arresting him. They called him as a voluntary witness.
They caution, then interview him.

They suspended him from is work (police). For police too to do their investigating.
4 months later CPS and police said it was dropped.

I do feel sorry for my friends son. As he do not go anywhere since all this began.
He hasn't got a social life, he'd only worked. Work was his life.
He stays in his bedroom only coming out when he goes to the toilet or have a bath. That's what my friends says.
